Beard fever is still gripping the nation and brands from high end to high street are trying to tap into this booming menswear, following in the footsteps of Moss Bros with their bearded shoot Spanish giant Mango have put together their ‘Blacksmiths’ collection. Living in London the heritage inspired beard revolution is inescapable with men of all ages and ethnicities embracing their new found love of facial hair, on the brand side of things iconic retailers such as ASOS, Topman and H&M have jumped on board! This week sees Mango produce their ‘Blacksmiths’ capsule collection that offers a more modern, beard friendly look compared their everyday menswear. The lookbook centres around the idea of traditional trades such as the blacksmith and mechanic and the hard wearing, everyday clothes they wear. It’s all about double denim, plaid shirts and khaki overcoats, what’s great about the collection is it sums up perfectly the street style trends that are huge in menswear right now. It’s interesting to see so many brands dropping the clean cut image and adopting one that’s a little bit rougher around the edges, it’s definitely a big thumbs up from me!
