For anyone that knows me or has seen any previous outfit posts there’s always a theme to my wardrobe. That theme is all of the black. For the last 5 years I’ve adopted a colour palette of black, grey and white – even through the summer months I very rarely dabble in colour. However a few months ago I started brightening up my wardrobe, and for some reason green seemed to be my colour of choice. I think my permanent choice of black, white and gray comes from a reluctance to experiment but also an element of lazyness – everything goes with black and the all black look never goes out of fashion. So this outfit post is just to prove that I wear colour, quite a few people will be surprised. It all came about when I was exploring London on a day off, one of my favourite things to do. We headed to the incredible Barbican and got lost wandering around the beautiful conservatory, there were so many shades of green it was as if the outfit post location was fate! I’ve been living in London for about three years now and I’m still in the smitten honeymooon phase, there is so much to see in this city with so many hidden gems.
I’ve fallen in love with this emerald bomber recently, it’s nice ad lightweight and has an amazing shimmer to it – if I’m going for colour I might as well go bold. I’ve had so many compliments on it and it’s surprisingly versatile given the shimmer, it’s a nice change to the current trend of embroidered satin bombers. Nice and clean. I paired it with my first pair of Nudie jeans, having seen them around for quite a while now I bit the bullet and invested. The fit is incredible and I genuinely don’t think I will ever get denim from anywhere else now, added bonus is it’s ethically sourced and manufactured and comes with free aftercare! I finished off the look with a pair of green suede Reebok Classics from Size, stupidly comfortable and a really unique colour – I was sold as soon as I saw them.#
Now that I am out of my comfort zone in terms of colour I’m going to try and start getting back into the swing of things on here. Outfit posts have always been something I shy away from, but hopefully this is the start of a good thing!
