Following on from the release of their SS15 tailoring lookbook Spanish fashion giant Mango have dropped their mainline menswear offering for SS15. With a beautiful ruggged backdrop the collection has an amazing urban explorer feel to it, the styling is has an Indiana Jones feel to it. I always love mango menswear lookbooks as they represent the trends so clearly, every lookbook feels like it tells a different story through the product which is amazing. Two key trends that are emerging for SS15 are khaki and functionality, moving away from traditional prints, patterns and summer colours. Lightweight outerwear is key throughout with utility parkas, functional macs and this seasons’s must have piece – the bomber jacket. With spring being a transitional season there is an interesting mix of denim shorts and jeans, combined with the knitwear pieces there’s a diverse range of looks here. Mango have recently rebranded and refreshed their menswear offering and it’s really coming across here as they start to emerge as a serious game player in the menswear market, with stand alone menswear stores on the horizon in the UK it will be interesting to see how the brand does in 2015!
