Time to get back into the swing of things with some outfit posts, taking advantage of the beautiful November weather I set off to explore London with my amazing photography assistant Martin, who actually got me blogging 2 years ago this week! It was the perfect opportunity to celebrate the upcoming UK launch of iconic American denim brand American Eagle Outfitters (@AEO_UK) , the brand will open three flagships this month In London to spearhead it’s ambitions European expansion plans. Established in 1977 AEO has made a name for itself as America’s favourite denim brand selling over 30 million pairs of jeans annually, and now it’s got it’s sights on European domination. I’ve always been a fan of the brand and it’s social messages, behind everything it does there is the awareness of how impressionable their target market is and the responsibility the brand has to empower their customers. This is definitely something most brands have completely forgotten about!
I was lucky enough to get my hands on some product ahead of the launch to give you guys a bit of a taste of what’s to come! With one of the widest size ranges on the market I am instantly hooked by the fact I can find my smaller sizing perfectly and in such a range of washes and styles, the choice is very impressive. The denim is hand made and has evolved with the brand over it’s 37 year history creating the best fit I’ve ever found, this is definitely how AEO has achieved it’s market dominance. To complement their core denim range AEO offers a surprisingly diverse range of clothing with everything from branded oxford shirts to festive onesies stacked up ready for the Christmas rush, the brand offers a value for money that the UK highstreet is definitely lacking. The brand epitomises the effortlessly stylish American varsity look that is on trend season after season and it’s enthusiastic and inclusive approach to style and individuality is infectious, there really is an excitement around the brand that I’ve not experienced before.
The brand will launch three stores initially but I think there is so much potential here to rapidly expand, I think it’s really exciting to have an American brand launching on such a scale in the UK and I can’t wait to see how the brand evolves! Take a sneak peak at my outfit and don’t forget to check out the stores when they launch, keep up to date on the pre launch buzz across AEO social channels below!
