Following on from their autumn winter campaign and studio collection Zara have updated their offering once again, pulling together their take on this years wardrobe essentials. Focusing on some key trends Zara have helped to curate their favourite pieces from their menswear offering, very helpful as this is their biggest collection to date. There’s a nice blend of smart and casual here, sharp tailored pieces matched with oversized slogan sweaters for that effortless look which is bang on trend. 2016 has arguably been the year of the bomber jacket with the trusty outerwear staple taking over every catwalk and pretty much every high street label, for AW16 brands have tweaked it to keep riding the wave – Zara’s example being the addition of a borg collar to turn the bomber into the classic aviator jacket. A very smart move. The standout peice here for me is the oversized hounds tooth jacket, I’m always wary of prints on outerwear but the colours in this really make it work for me – I also love the oversized shape with drop shoulders. Zara is definitely dominating the high street in terms of menswear this season, it’s hard to fault their offering – they really are unstoppable.
