Time for an update from the worlds biggest fashion retailer Zara, following on from their full S/S14 menswear lookbook they have released an additional ‘May’ update. The setting of the lookbook caught my eye straight away, a light and airy apartment reminiscent of so many holidays in the past. The collection has such a summery colour palette with the standard whites and creams broken up with some crisp blues and yellows, there’s even an elephant print shirt thrown in for good measure. Sticking to what they know best the collection is very slick and refined with a heavy tailoring influences, the line between smart and casual has been completely blurred and it works really well. Navy is going to a be a big trend this season especially in formal wear and that trend is definitely covered well here right down to matching accessories and swimwear. The great selection of shoes is a nice touch here with some pretty eye catching trainers, the khaki roshe-esque ones are worth checking out as they are the comfiest shoes I’ve tried on in a very long time. If you’re going for a laid back look that’s effortlessly stylish this season Zara is definitely the place to head, then again when isn’t it?
